Electric retracts
What causes electric retracts to cycle during flight.

RE: Electric retracts
You mean come down and back up for no reason or how do the work normally?

Most units work this way, Under normal operation they work just like a servo, but during the cycle when they sense a spike in voltage from resistance at the end of the cycle the units shut down until they get the signal to move the opposite direction, then they move until the resistance is felt at the other end, etc..

RE: Electric retracts
If they are cycling uncommanded in flight then you need to look for a power problem, it probably means your reciever is rebooting.

RE: Electric retracts
They work fine when commanded by the switch. But during flight when they or up they will open and close by themselves. They seem to do this when the plane is being banked in a turn.

RE: Electric retracts
Wheels are probably too heavy for the mechanisim to hold them shut and the G forces are pulling them out.

Try giving them a tug and see how far they move when retracted and powered

RE: Electric retracts
Also, they may not be cycling up all the way to the locked position, or you have a lot of flex in the system
