Hello Chris That was a good guess. I had a idea ( i get one once in a while) about having a contest about how many sticks it took to build Creamsicle. I tossed the idea around in my head for awhile and then I presented the idea to one of our other Scratch/scale builders website.
They thought it was a good idea, but at the time they had other contest's going on, so I more or less forgot about the idea, That is until I got your Thread. Believe it or not you are the only person that has ever asked. When I first posted the pictures, I thought that would be one of the first questions, but that did not happen. So congratulations you are the first!!. I know every stick that went into that airplane, and the reason I know is because my lovely wife made me count the sticks and take pictures of the build ( I took over her dinning room table ) And
it's hard to say no to a woman when she is standing behind you with a cast iron frying pan. Anyway thanks for your interest in Creamsicle.

Has the Creamsicle already had a maiden flight, can't wait to see the photos/ video. When I first looked at the pictures I didn't realize it was made of sticks, very cool idea. I can't remember if it was a video on RCuniverse or youtube that I saw a guy he crashed his plane then made a new plane from the broken plane and the kit box, I got a big grin from that, it flew very good for a box. The last plane I built on my dining room table took 2 years , it annoyed me ( that I was so slow ) but everyone that visited me thought it was very cool, they wanted to know everything about it.

Hello Chris No Creamsicle has not flown yet. Weather permitting I am hoping it will fly this week-end. Even tho the weather here is great, the wind can be a problem. The wind at my place might be calm , but 12 miles down the road it could be kicking up. So you never know until you get to the field. I was checking out your models WW2 Scale and Sport planes good combination. I guess you could call that fast and faster.
The only plane I have that comes close to yours is a 1984 But Atkinson sport T-34, which I started back in 2006 and have not finished. What
are you working on now?. If you can post some pictures of your planes. Hank

It's been a lot of years since I built a kit, The last 4 years I've mostly been crashing for one reason or another and 2014 I spent building ARF's or buying new planes, I finished my Corsair right as winter hit , I'm finishing my topflite P47 60 size , I decided to change from 72 MHz to 2.4 GHz Tx and I'll switch over my Aero-Works SU-31 first to try the radio, the weather here should allow me to start flying in March. I'll try to get some pictures.

Sounds great Chris, Looking forward to the pics.. I love the F4U Corsair, it's my favorite. Back in 1965 I built a size 40 Corsair. I set it up for free flight and that is what it did, It's somewhere in the Atlantic ocean off the coast of Newfoundland. That was my first and last free flight plane.
