As mentioned earlier long before regulators modelers used the Perry Pump to solve glow fuel supply problems. http://www.perrypumps.com/ These can be adjusted along with the needle valve to regulate fuel supply. It will take some time but once set up the engine should run the same no mater what the attitude of the engine. Before buying relate your problem to the pump people and they should be able to advise as to which pump will work for you. I have several in operation and usually have one or more sitting in my parts drawer in case I need one. I have these four on hand haven’t had to use one in years as most manufacturers have bettered their fuel tank placement. In the past kit and even plans built designs sometimes had major fuel tank placement issues.

I tried the Cline regulator and did not have much luck with it however Iron Bay made one that worked a little different and I was able to have success with it. This regulator is designed specifically for tanks that are high in relation to the carb. No drilling for a pressure tap these are a demand type regulator. This may be exactly what you need read the advert on their web page.

I had the same problem with an inverted OS 46FX set up in a Venus 40. The engine was good mounted horizontally, and had several gallons through it before putting it in the Venus. I also tried one of my other OS 46FX engines to no avail.
I tried the Cline pump with this set up and it just created other problems. I even talked to Cline on the phone a couple of times before he passed, and he was unable to diagnose the tuning problems I was having at the time.
I came close to crashing this plane several times because of dead stick problems. I could get the 46FX to run well in normal flight, but if I would perform negative or high G maneuvers the engine would kill, even with the Cline regulator.
I solved the whole problem by putting my YS 63FZ in the Venus 40, and have one of the nicest inverted setups that I have flown. This is one great flying combination.
As JohnBuckner pointed out, a lot of planes are lost when pilots don't want to make the changes necessary to make your engine run properly. If you keep getting dead sticks, you are eventually going to damage or destroy your plane.

OK thanks I'll check that too.

Problem is with this model you have horizontal and vertical panels that are difficult to get to that interfere with any other positions of the fuel tank but theirs.

Well I went ahead and remounted the engine and got over the cosmetic thing. In retrospect now I wish I had gone electric but I had the motor lying around so I used it. Here it is with the engine upright. I guess it doesn't look that bad afterall.

Looks fine.
Are you getting the reliability from the engine you wanted?

Sorry I didnt see this post earlier. When you can get the middle of the tank 3/8 inch lower than the carb spraybar you will need nothing else, no onboard glow or special glo plugs or regulators. Have done several inverted installs on this motor sometimes adding onto the lower fuse to lower the tank.

Yes. It runs and idles great.

They way this model is designed with horizontal and vertical box construction for the tank, deep into the fuselage where you can not get access, it's hard to position the tank any other way without totally re-doing the fuselage behind the firewall. It was easier to just install the motor right side up. I just had to modify the engine mount. All is well I maidened her the other day and she flew great. Thanks again to everyone who cared enough to help me out. It is very much appreciated.

I know Aug has come up with a good solution that worked for him, but I have this same plane and I had the same problems with my engine being inverted until a friend installed a fuel filler from The World Models on my PC-9 .46 today. After this fuel filler was installed, my Thunder Tiger .46 ran like new without me having to pinch the fuel line, or do anything other than go through the normal prcedures to start a glow engine. We did convert my fuel system from a 3-line system to a 2-line system using this fuel filler. Here is a link to the fuel filler http://ecsvr.com/twm/ShopDisplayproducts.asp?Search=Yes. I am posting this in case someone else has this same problem. I don't know if it will solve this problem for everyone, but it is an inexpensive solution to try. I know I will be buying a few to keep around for future builds.
