Apprentice Stabilizer/Rudder--Necessary to Epoxy???
I have assembled my first electric plane--the Apprentice--and am concerned that the stab and rudder are held in place by 2 really small screws. Anyone have experience with this method of attachment? Are the two screws sufficient? Would epoxy be a good idea? The only down side I can see is the additional weight. Thanks. Gary

I wouldn't epoxy them as you won't be able to replace them if needed . I have my students ( with this plane ) use a good ( 3m ) clear tape to reinforce the tail section.
Cut a length of tape you need for a certain spot, then fold it ( length wise ) down the center and place it in place so that it connects to the fuse and the part you are reinforcing . ie the stab , the rudder etc. ENJOY !!! RED |
