Orange RX receivers question
Hi, I have a few 6 channel Orange Receivers. I bought them as few years back. I have a flying wing, and a couple EDF jets for them now. I know they are decent receivers from reviews I've read. But-
I just noticed the new ones are different than mine. Mine only has one red short antenna. On Hobby kings site, there's two 6 channel receivers. I think these and mine are the similar, but these 2 are updated versions maybe? There is one with 2 red antennas, and another with one longer gray antenna. I don't see mine listed anymore. I'm wondering if they are still okay for large park flyers that have speed, and should I order satellite antennas for them? Thanks all |
you're right that they've gotten rid of the single antenna type receivers, I've still got half a dozen or so.
I use them in up to a ~ 32 sized electric, but I also fly in a rural area where we don't have many other airplanes flying at the same time. there's nothing WRONG with them per se, but the newer multi antenna types theoretically should be less likely to lose the signal since there are two antenna's. |

totally your choice, I've never had an issue with signal loss with any of mine,
but I also tend to keep the airplane in close. (I can not imagine adding the satellite would hurt anything though) |
