very cheap altimeter
hello, i want to know how high i'm flying, and maybe someone know some cheap altimeters which record altitude or something similar? i don't need something expensive, max. price about 15$, if there aren't any cheap altimeters, then maybe i'll try to build something with arduino

You may find something with the electric glider threads. Look under ALES Altitude limited electric sailplanes. $15 is pretty cheap, there may not be anything that cheap, but there could be.
|
then i'll try to build something with arduino, with parts from china, the cost might be about 7-10$

Raz,
Those photos look like about 1,200 Feet above ground.. Based on object size, and looking down from thousands of skydives.. Blue Skies, Tom |
TEBerg,
wow, I was predicting much less :D something about 500-700 feet |

Hi Razzion,
It is very subjective looking at a photo from a camera pointing in front of your aircraft. You may be lower, like 700 feet. I'm just guessing. For your reference; here is a photo looking down from about 1,000 feet above Madera, California. Blue Skies, Tom |
At least two TX RX setups use a telemetry download setup.
Plug in something like this Jeti Telemetry Sensor Altimeter MAlti EX And you have a readout on the tx lcd screen for more money you can have a talking tx telling you the altitude. Gonna blow your 15$ budget though. |
