What kind of retracts ARE THESE?

Gang,

Hey, I picked these up at an estate. Never seen them before. All anodized aluminum (blue and gold). While the box is cardboard, the _partitions_ in the box are laser cut wood. These are brand new. Only the nose retract was taken out of the bag the others are still sealed.

The are air UP, spring DOWN. But do not look like any SpringAir gear if have seen or could find on line.

Some measurements:
- blue mount plate is 1.25" x 1.75"
- gold cylinder 2" x 9/16"
- wire strut 3/16 x 10"

There's not a sticker, decal, or any indication of manufacture anywhere on these. Even the instructions don't say.
Any ideas out there?

Thanks for any help.

Looks like the original KMP units, now ESM.

They would have to be real early. I got "GEN-1" retracts with my KMP/ESM B-25 6 years ago and they looked nothing like this.

They are, mid to early 2000’s. There have been so many versions since they came out. This is one of the versions of the air up spring downs.

I had had the blue ones you show.

Thanks for the info. I can see the family resemblance with the gold cylinder and the straight push/pull travel arrangement. So, are the blue/gold ones any good? My GEN-1 air up/down were OK, but made of softer grade aluminum. Over time they developed slop supporting my 30 lbs B-25. Replacing them with Robart gear addressed this and have been in the plane now for 5 years.

They were ok. Throw away the tank, airlines and valve. Blue Loctite everything. If the units don't leak you might be ok.
