Pica Cessna 182 1/6 engine/muffler?

What do I do about the muffler in this plane? Do I cut a hole in the engine cowl and just use the regular muffler that comes with the engine and have it stick out of the hole, or do I need to buy a special muffler? I've flown several trainers, but this is my first scale plane, and my first engine cowl for that matter. Any advice will help. Pictures also, if you have any. Any suggestions for a good engine for this 1/6 scale plane? I have a .40 I was going to put on it. Thanks everybody!!!
