supertigre engine

One of the flyers at the field has a new in box Supertiger S3000. I went into Tower Hobbys sight & they only list the G2300. I plan to put it in a F6F Hellcat with a 70 in. wingspan. The kit calls for a 90 to 120 size. Does anyone know about this engine. Or do you think it is to powerfull for it. Thanks Jadec

RE: supertigre engine

the 3000 is a 1.8 2 stroke good for about a 18-20 pound plane that heelcat you are refering to is fine with either a 90 2 stroke or 1.2 4 stroke so yes you would probably pull the firewall out of the fuse.they wre made about 1985 to a few years ago when the new model came out.some replace the supertiger carbs with an os 7d for better performance.

I appreciate the fast comeback. I figured it would be to much for it. Guess I'll go for a 90 or 120. Happy flying

The supertigre 90 is a great engine especially for the price. Best bang for the buck IMO.
