retract servo
 
What would be an appropriat servo type for spring air style retracts in a top flite fw190 or any 8-12 pound plane.

standard
mini

any servo will work as all it does is move the valve,if you want to save weight and space then use a mini if you have a standard lying around use it.

I have two sets of SpringAirs, one on a currently flying P-38 and in my second one still on the table. The Hitec Hs 85 works very well for this job and has the advantage of being very thin and the two screw mount (instead of four) is nice in tight places. I would avoid anything smaller than this as you will run into insufficient throw problems with the tiny output arms to operate the Springair valve.
