Nose Cone
All right, Lads and Ladies, a brain picker for you. Who makes a 2" spinner (2 1/4 at most) with a recessed back plate that will accept a 12X6 wooden prop and the thrust washer from an OS .70 Surpass engine? Thanks in advance.

The 2 inch Ultimate with '120' slots, part number TT-2052-B-120, will clear it with no problems. Almost any inexpensive nylon spinner can be trimmed to fit. |
RE: Nose Cone
Carrellh, I appreciate the response. It looks like the Tru Turn should work. Also, and this is for everyone who has done it, I attempted to trim an old spinner to accept a wider blade and it looks like something a rabid rat chewed up. I assume balance is, if not critical, at least desirable in a spinner. How do you guys balance a modified spinner? Thanks in advance, folks.

RE: Nose Cone
I use my magnetic prop balancer and balance both the back plate and the cone separately, then I rebalance the pair together. While you may not get it perfect, you can get it a lot closer.
