Perry Pump Pressure Line Broke
The hard red tubing that runs from the crank case to the back of my Perry Pump broke.
Can I use regular fuel tubing ? The tubing that came with it was that hard , " aquarium style" tubing. I had supposed the regular fuel tubing would be too flexible and would expand under pressure and the entire pressure pulse would not be transmitted tot he pump. |

Just use regular tubing. The Prather seems to be hardest and Great Planes the softest.

do not use soft silicone fuel tubing, it will collapse. that is why they supply hard tubing. you can use the hard plastic fuel tubing like for cox engines.

Well, I went to their website. There was a tech news item about broken tubing. If you email them and inform them that your tubing has broken, they will send you a replacement tube.

PilotFighter, my red tubing also split almost immediately. I replaced it with black vacuum tubing from the auto parts store.

Hey everybody,
The folks from Perry sent me replacement tubes for free and they were very quick about it also. I love Perry pumps and now I think they are even better because the customer support was AAA. |
