Funtana s 40 With OS 50 SX
 

Has anyone seen a Funtana 40 with an OS 50 SX engine in it? Does it fly well? Will I be able to Fly good 3D with The 50?

Hi Woefels,
When I bought my Funtana 40 I had a OS 50SX. It flew very well. But if you are into 3D, then it needs a little more power. I switched mine to a Saito 82 for better 3D. Otherwise for regular flying, the 50SX is great.

The OS .50 SX comes to life with a Tower .46 muffler on it, using either an APC 12X4 or 12.25X3.75W prop on it will work great. Sorry I let mine go in a trade. It's a great engine. A friend got a Magnum .52 to run really well on his Funtana and wore both the plane and engine out, with 3D flying.

We have some guys intalling the OS Helo, Hype .50 on theirs with the Tower Muffler and running 20% helo fuel, the performance and wing loading are terrific for 3D.
