RE: Any body know what this plane is worth???
It was dug out of a tomb, or sand dune, right?
IF the engine runs well, & IF the radio works well, & IF the servos all work, & IF the battery is OK, it could be worth ~ $200 Cdn, but looking at the condition, I'd say $100 - $125 max, & much less if any of the major bits are duds. But that's Canada -- things is different in Oz:eek: |
RE: Any body know what this plane is worth???
How much is the person going to pay you to take it ?
As Agent Midget said, there are A LOT OF IFS with the plane. Also consider that you can buy a brand new trainer, 4 chanel radio and 46 ball bearing engine for about $300 (US ). Over here, a used trainer setup in good conditon with everything working goes for about $175 - $200. Some of the "ifs" you need to consider: If the transmitter battery needs to be replaced you are looking at $30, $20 for the receiver battery, $10 for a servo, $3 for fuel lines, $5 for a fuel tank (which probably will need replacing, along with the fuel lines based on appearances ). The other if is what repairs need to be done? I can see some damage (it APPEARS minor ), but until you get in there you can't tell how extensive it is. Do you have the necessary skills (and equipment ) to do the repairs ? The prices are approximate - they may be higher or lower depending on where you get them. Hope this helps. |
RE: Any body know what this plane is worth???
As stated, if the engine turns over and the plane is ok, $100 would be ok, but the radio is probably not good. Batteries for it cost as much as a new one in most cases. The thing doesn't look to be in great shape. If you do buy it, change the instalation of the radio. Those clips on the servos with the screw that goes down to hold the wire in place is really bad. It will cause the plane to crash when the screw comes lose and you have no control. That tells me that a newbie built it, so I would look close at it and question how the rest it put together.

Since you already have a thread with the same title, I'm going to close this one.
Please, only one thread per question. |
