Monokote technique question, HELP!

How do you monokote two different colors over an open area??

In the past, using my iron I monokote one piece to the other on a piece of glass first. Then I monokote the piece to the model. It seems to work great until a few years down the road wen you put a heat gun to it. With the heat gun, the two pieces stretch away from one another and you lose that straight line. I've thougt to cover the entire model in one color and then put the additional colors but you run into the bubble problem. Any suggestions?

If you shield the seam with a piece of cardboard when you apply heat, the seam will not seperate.

Monokote technique question, HELP!

If you use MonoKote solvent the seam will last for ever. I just use the iron as hot as I can get it without shrinking the MonoKote and have never had it part (I use the iron to tighten lose covering so I can stay away from the seam).

The transparent area on my Bingo was done with the solvent.
