RX PROBLEM

Can anyone tell me what may be wrong with my rx. When I plug a servo into the #4 slot on my rx the servo moves the right amount one way but only a little bit the other way? I tried three servos and the same thing each time. rx is a 7 channel Hi-Tec.

If you have a pooter Tx, look into ch. 4's end point setting

I think Husker is right. Sounds like the end point adjustment on the Transmitter is set to limit the servo travel in one direction. Don't know which Tx you have, nor sure how to get to your settings through the menu. Have you got the manual for it?

Do the servos move differently when plugged into a different channel? (Do they have more travel). If so, that eliminates the servos as the problem; doubtful it's the Rx, that only tells the servos to do what the Tx tells them.

I suggest that you take your setup in to Joe's Hobby Shop in Grand River at Drake and have Dave Schavolin take a look at it. (Tell him I said "Hi" from Indiana) Either that or take it (all parts) to Pete Waters who does radio repair. He's on Seven Mile Road out around you. Or to Andy Low, owner of ElectroDynamics on Schoolcraft (siuth side of I-96) in Livonia.

If you are a member of Ribcrackers (I was when I lived in Farmington Hills), there are a bunch of guys that can be of help there.

If you are looking for Pete in the phone book, his business is Kraft Midwest, 115 East Main, Northville, MI 48167; Tel.: (313) 348-0085, and if he's doing things like the last couple of years you ought to plan on getting there soon - before he heads to Florida for the winter.

Was it something simple like a loose crystal? I know that Pete vibrates all Rxs that he gets to see if they are solid.
