OS 91 fs prop

I'm finally getting my fliton extra 330. I plan on using a os 91 fs I have laying around. I just don't know what prop to use and I couldnt find a clear answer while poking around here. I want a good 3d performer and preferable apc (thats what the lhs has along with mas)

Thanks
Dan

A friend tried them all (in a Chipmunk model) and found that 12-7 was best but hard to find.

Maybe APC 15x4W?

On a "sport plane" with this engine I like a 14x6 about as well as any prop, but everyone hs their own preference.

OS pretty much says to use a prop that allows the engine to turn 9500 - 10000 on the ground. Vary pitch and diameter to get the combination of thrust and speed that suits you and your plane.

I want a prop that will make the plane 3d well but I don't it to be super slow. It doesn't need to be fast either but just fast enough to practice some pattern. I sure someone here knows what prop would make a great match.

Thanks

RE: OS 91 fs prop

I would say the APC 14x6 would fill your needs.

I have a GP Super Skybolt which is roughly the same size and probably heavier. The motor on that plane turns the 14x6 at an even 10,000rpm and it pulls the Skybolt around for pattern type manouvres very well and at a respectable speed, sometimes too fast. I'm actually thinking of trying a 14x5 too see how well it works on my plane.

Actually the main focus of the plane will be 3d. Would a 14x6 be the best performer for 3d. I know some were saying a 15x4
Thanks guys

What their doing at my clubs are moving the firewall back one inch on a 40 size 'you-can do' and using a APC 15x4W on a OS 91 fs . WOW ! ! !

My grandson gave me the above. All I need now are his thumbs.

It likes any 14x4, and 13x6 as well. I've flown a U Can Do .46 with the OS .91 Surpass on the nose, very well matched combo with a 14x4.

I'm gonna try a 15x4. I'll let you guys know how it worked when I get the plane built.

Thanks for the help

On the UCD I like the Zinger 14x4 and the Master Airscrew woods. As for the 13x6 I am using Master Airscrew K series. The later is a very good sport setup that I like on my giant Westerner, and on smaller sport models any brand of 12x8 is fine.
