You can try one of those orange based paint strippers. They work on some plastics, it depends on the type. As always though, try it on a scrap piece first.

I have used "EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER" on plastic models (previously built by someone else) to re kit and remove the paint.

Now if I could only remember what to use to remove chrome from plastic. Does anyone remember?

safest paint remover for plastics is brake fluid.just soak the part wet either in a bowl or wrapped in paper towels wrapped in plastic for a few days brush off loose paint with tooth brush.water soluable so just clean up with soap and water.
