Funtana x100
Hey flyers,
I can't find an x100 any where in the US, what other planes would work well with a 26cc gasser? Something that would be good for 3D. |
RE: Funtana x100
If you were looking at the X100 - What about the new Funtana 125?
|
RE: Funtana x100
Is it comperable?
|
RE: Funtana x100
Its the newer version.

RE: Funtana x100
The 100 took a drop from the line up a long time ago. The new 125 is only slightly bigger but the price really took a jump. When I first went to see the site Top posted I didn't notice the date of the post, that really made my brain smoke, I have been flying with a fellow that has had his for quite a while. We set the 100 and 125 side by side and there really isn't very much difference in the plane at all.

RE: Funtana x100
Well, for the same price I found a 180 size extra 260, think it's a better choice?
|
RE: Funtana x100
Well I've decided on the 180 size Extra 260, is the DL 30cc gas engine too much power for this plane?
|
RE: Funtana x100
What 260?? If it's a Nitroplanes they run on the small side and not very strong, if it's an Aero Works they have been using the DLE 30 in even there smaller planes. Not all ARFs are created equal.

RE: Funtana x100
It's a Seagull, according to some other owners the DLE 30 is the engine of choice.

RE: Funtana x100
I no nothing about the plane but so far I haven't met a DLE I didn't like. A lot of the guys I fly with are using the 30 so I have met quite a few. Then one of the guys came out with his new 55 and it was a true winner. Maiden on his Ultimate and maiden on the engine. Great combo. No needle twisting required, it ran right out of the box.
