Great Planes Floats ?

I['m building a Top Flite Cessna 182 Gold Edition kit. I'd like to add floats, preferably scale-looking in appearance, including the associated hardware. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help

I've built and used the GP .40 and .60 size floats for years with good success. You can detail the floats themselves for a somewhat scale appearance. However, the support wires, although quite functional, are more utilitarian than scale. I have heard that many use floats supplied by Sea Commander but have never tried them myself. I'm sure someone will post their experience with those units.

Hey, enjoy float flying your Cessna. I'm out today to float fly my 1/4 scale Cub and I've got to say I really enjoy being out on the water.

I suggest you ask this question in the Seaplane section,, you'll get advise there too.
Like Augie11 said,, the Sea Commander line is very scale like and very good quality mouting system for the extra $$ you'll spend.
You can scale up regular bent wire gear too with shaped balsa and glass cloth,, it all depend on how scale you want it to look.

Check these guys out. It is the most scale looking hardware I have seen online.
