RE: LANDInG GEAR 85" YAK
The Aluminum one is heavier but I don't know how much. It's OK to replace it with aluminum gear. I did ask TNT to give me some info on their gears but never got anything back from them. The good thing about the TNT gear is it does show a little flex where the CF is really stiff. I would have to weigh our FG gear but don't have a digital scale at home. Sorry. If I were to guess maybe the aluminum is heavier by 4-6oz.
Thank you,
Reza

RE: LANDInG GEAR 85" YAK
Does anyone know someone building landing gear out of fiberglass? I have some for a Funtana 90 and they are just perfect: just the right amount of flex, extremely durable, etc. Carbon fiber is great but the more durable layups being manufactured don't allow much flex.
