While you are at www.centralhobbies.com check out the Hyde soft mounts. It will be a necessity if you plan to install the 1.60 on the Yak.

How many are solid mounting YS 1.40 Sport. I am building the Aeroworks .90-1.20 Yak and wondering if a Hyde mount is needed with the YS 1.40.

I would ask that ?on the ys club..... But I see no need to use a nose ring or any other mounting method other than traditional rail system...
If you use Aluminum mounts (always better because they do not resonate any High frequency waves like a plastic reinforced one does),
you should be just fine..

I wonder if anyone has tried to make a rail syle mount made out of CF?

I had a YS 1.40 sport hard mounted on mine.... It worked 'fine'. If you are particular about minimizing vibration to save on current draw due to vibration, the hyde mount is a very good investment.

KockJ, is that the new ZDZ 40? I would think that engine would be a perfect match for this plane.

Yes it is!
I will be placing it in a QQ yak GEN II this winter.
Look for a build within the coming months!

Hi there,

I am planning to start the 73" Yak as my next project and have an OS 120 AX ready to go - I will be flying IMAC with this plane and I fly at sea level. Thought the 120AX would keep the weight down nicely.

Thank you in advanced.
