I have a Dave Naylor R/C Skydiver which I have owned for many years.
I have a 8' Telemaster which I have used to lift it to altitude.
Is anyone using a heavy lift multirotor to get up to altitude?
I would like to try one as it makes for a compact setup.
I just would hate to drop $500 on a project that won't work.
If anyone has succeeded with this I'd love to hear about your setup..

Hi Tom,

Chris had this Hex at the Muncie rally last September.
It would carry 2 divers easily, he told me the specs but I can't remember them. I think it was a 680 size.
He also built a F550 hex that would carry one.
Maybe he will chime in with the specs. and dealer he used.

Very good Gary. Well I bought a Tarrot 680 pro stretched to 800mm and its all built and ready to go.
Got it off rcg.
Just now starting to set up the telemetry. I need to make a drop box . I have a 3d printer that would make a fine one if I find a drawing or fire up the cad program and trudge through the many prototypes needed to make a proper one.
Weather is terrible here. Too cold to be outside.
I'll have to hunt down a little battery pack for the Diver. I think the 10 year old pack is toast...
Do you know is Dave Naylor still around?

Good luck with the multirotor, I want to build one myself, just haven't got to it yet.
Here are a few pics of drop boxes like on Chris's hex.
they are made from 6061 aluminum .050 thick. They measure 2"x4"x6"
They are open on one end. I'm going to make new ones for my plane that are closed on both ends.
I have had chutes open 2 times on the plane and think with the ends closed the chute is less likely to come out of the box if someone hits the release too soon or it just releases on its own.
As far as I know Dave is not making skydivers now, if he sees this post maybe he will reply
