Gary,
Do you know if the Muncie Rally will have competition for one day as it was last year or 1 1/2 days as it was in '04? It's a long way to travel for only one day of competition.I would like to see it for Sat & Sun with points for freefall, 360 turns, anywhere on the field and in the circle. That way everyone can get some points.

RE: R/C Skydive Rally for 2007
Currently building the cessna 206 by wendell hostetler,3 m (or 120" ) wingspan.
Fuselage is ready(not perfect but not so bad it wont fly, first plane i ever buid completely).
i have already purchased a ZDZ50NG(second hand but will do just fine with its 5 hp )to power the plane.
Plane is equiped with 2 trap doors,1 small and 1 large(yes, one normal sized skydiver and my juniorjumper go inside the fuselage because i like the realism of that).
Had a problem with building the wings(biggest problem is me having not enough patience)so will have to make them again, this time i am cutting them out of EPS foam(just finished building a foamcutting device 5 minutes ago)
I will be sooooo happy when the plane is finished and i can finally begin to concentrate on building and developing rc skydivers(have some great plans!!)since the airplane building part does not really interest me...
Check out the following link, this is the plane i really want and will buy when i have saved enough money.
http://www.topmodel.fr/article.php?art_id=196
Pilatus porter,3.20m wingspan ARF(has emotional value for me since i have about 30 "real" skydives out of that plane.)
At the moment i am still flying the IHL junior jumper(i get it up with my robbe piper cub,1.80m wingspan and 6.5cc thunder tigre engine) simply because nobody in my club has a plane large enough to lift the TV products skydver i am planning to buy.Already received the pricelist from TV and i hope to be able to make my order once the holidays are over...
Can i take part of the competition with my junior jumper too?
i already checked out the rc skydiving site from Pieter, looks great!!!!!!!
hope to see you(in belgium) shortly!!!!!!!
And now i am gooing to try to upload some pictures of the cessna etc. into my aircraft gallery....
Remember :the pictures are taking a while ago,had more work on it then is left now, also remember i NEVER said the plane is build perfectly!!!!Wings attached to it where the bad ones are in the trashcan now. Also you see the door opening under the right wing, made that because the cessna 206 i used to jump out of at skydive malle had that too....(small detail, because i had cut out the hole fot that door BEFORE i attached the tail part to the fusleage part my tail is positioned left of the centre line of the plane, its not a disaster but it doesn't look good) .
Will also try to put pictures of an other big lift i have(got it with the ZDZ50 engine)0 and my junior skydiver and piper cub.
Greetings and blue skies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here it the entry form for the Somerset Rally, that is, if I post it correctly.
Well, that didn't work. I typed the entry form with MS Word, When I tried to upload it I got the message File not supported. Can someone tell me how to post it so it can be printed out as a form and fit on the page.
Thanks,
GaryV

RE: R/C Skydive Rally for 2007
I would love to make it to the Skydive but I live in Central Florida and just a bit to far to go....
we have 3 skydivers in our Ocala Flying Model Club. Our Barnstormers Demo Team do demonstrations for schools,
civic events, air shows, fairs, just any place that will have us....we try to educate the public and get them interested in our
hobby, especially the young folks...they are the future of modeling..
Picture of a couple of our skydivers in flight.

Hi Gary,
Hope you have some nice warm wx there in VA. It's now 17f here and no relief in the forecast.
I converted my OHA to the DX-7 system. Should avoid freq. conflicts at the Rallys.
Best regards - Paul

Hi Paul,
We have had fairly mild temps until last week. Most of last week in the teens.
Light snow on the ground now and calling for a possible 12+ on Tuesday.
I now have a genuine "Mike" jumper, tried him out a few weeks ago.
He weighed in at 3lb. 9oz. when I received him, It was a little windy the day I tried him, added another 4 oz. of lead.
He flew very well.
Wesley is working on his Lift Meister, I purchased a 45cc gasser for him last week here on RCU. It should arrive this week.
Mine is still in the box, too many other projects right now to start it.
See you soon!

RE: R/C Skydive Rally for 2007
Hi Ya'll,
It will hit 60 here this afternoon!! Don't want to rub it in but-----you know how it is! Test flew my Lift "Jump" Meister last week and have made some mods this week. It was too nose heavy so 4 more ozs of lead went into the tail. Moved some batteries back more and all seems to be ok now. Had a ca type strut hinge break (part of the kit) and another strut arm pulled out of the wing. I now have thin copper strut hinges and hex bolts to hold them on! Lesson learned Gary! Also installed a heavy duty tail wheel ass'y and used another servo in the tail to control it. Like Paul, I have put a DX 7 Spectrum system into the plane so we will have plenty of frequencies open at the rally. Would you believe it weighs 27 1/2 lbs!!!--Good thing I used a 35cc Engine. With 2 mikes and a Charly on board it will be 36 3/4 lbs!
Really looking forward to adding a Redneck to you Ky Hillbillies jumper guys for the rally. We just have to humor those not so fortunate as to be from south of the Mason-Dixon line where it's warm!!! See Ya'll later.

RE: R/C Skydive Rally for 2007
Hey All Y'all....I'm a Texan misplaced in Florida....We fly a Senior Telemaster and have 3 RC Skydivers, one under the belly, and one under each wing....seems to work pretty well. I have a Big Stick using an OS-61 and it needs to be a 90 size...have to tack it back and forth to get high enough. I think I'll move it to my Big Bingo with a Quadra 35, that should pull okay. Our weather has been great, in the 60's and 70's mostly. Been good except for the tornadoes last week. One of them completely destroyed the Southern Eagles field just south of us. You can't even tell it was a flying field. The storm even ripped out all the chain link fence around the area and cleaned off all the buildings. Destroyed or damaged 1500 homes in The Villages, about a mile south of my home. Much to close for comfort.
Y'all take care and happy flying and diving. Good luck with your event.
