Default Flight questions

When you take your diver up, do you release into the wind, upwind of your location.

Do you fly your guy into the wind or make soaring circles?

Just trying to figure out how to do this.

Default RE: Flight questions

Randy:
yes you always fly into the wind and up wind of your location, when our pilots at the rallys and at thier own field they almost always fly in large circle to gain altitude and upon reaching altitude they throttle back just before release of jumper this makes for a more stable air and a good flat release, The plane is always flying into the wind on release. Hope this helps you with your flying and dropping the skydiver.

Default RE: Flight questions

I am seeing drag chutes and release lines to make the chute deploy. Has anyone used a mouse trap arm and spring to eject the chute?

The reason I am asking is one of the chute packs that came with my guy has one mounted in it.
