    Mississippi Altitude Record

Yesterday, 7/23, we set what we believe is the R/C parachutist drop altitude record for Mississippi. Our second jump of the day was 1937 feet as indicated by the ZLog altimeter (zeroed at ground level). The third jump was from 2400 ft.!!!! The 8 foot telemaster (powered by an SPE 26cc) looked tiny, and the man was nearly impossible to see until the chute deployed. The man was fully controlled and landed right between us. I was able to spiral the plane down, land, and grab the cam intime to record the last 500 ft of the man's decent.
We are in VERY rural Miss and no full scale aircraft were anywhere around us, and we are miles from the nearest airport.

    RE: Mississippi Altitude Record

we hold the record here in the netherlands.
altitude was 961 meters thats about 3200 feet....
we didn't see it falling and opened the chute long time after the drop. he opened then at 2500 feet.
took a long time to come down. No wind at all that day...
