Gary,
Thanks for the information. I have already started saving my nickels, pennies and dimes. One way or the other I will be there in September. I had a great time there last year.

Hey Juan,

I plan on being there again. If you need a lift up, just just me know and I will be glad to strap Little Juan in and head for the blue sky.
Do you think Little Juan can beat last years endurance record?

Paul,
Thanks for the offer, it is accepted most gratefully. I don't think I want to repeat last years "long drop". As a matter of fact I think I will leave that jumper at home. He also went AWOL when I dropped him at the Las Vegas RC Skydiving Rally in April of 2003. See you at Muncie.

JUANf :

you had better save a lot of nickels and dimes and quarter because We might see $ 5.00 dollars a gallon by then . And you know my van only gets 7 miles to the gallon ha ha

Hi
It looks as if SA is not the only country with everything going up. When RC Skydiving gets big in SA we will invite all.
Have a great rally.

Over here in EU we have $ 8.00 dollars a gallon at this moment ,starting your motor and hear the coins rinkeling
Its cheaper to fly than to drive , Theo and I want to go to the German skydiving rally 28.Aug / 1 Sept in Berlin ,
cost for fuel, Lommel Berlin <>880 mil = $ 400 only for the fuel [&o]

Lommel <> Muncie by air 14000 mil = $ 600 pro pers , so Muncie hier we come again !

Hope to see you all again this year in Muncie !
,Jules

Hello everyone,
Is everybody ready for the Rally? It has been really quite on here, everybody needs to get pumped up. Fannin and I have been working on jumpers and trying to get some practice in before the event. Look out we come to win..... Reiner has been jumping as well. Hope everybody that was there last year comes this year.

See ya soon

No real good picture as of yet, if the weather holds out this weekend we'll see if we can't get a few good pictures.

Send me your email address and I'll look through what I have.

It has been quiet on here-what's happening! Made three "Mike" jumps this week and two last week to try to get them trimmed just right. My 30x60" flag drop has worked everytime. Hope it does it at Muncie.
I will be getting there on Fri afternoon staying at Lee's inn and leaving Mon am. if Delta comes thru on time that is!
I know of a few guys coming but lets start a list and see how many plan on making it. The more the merrier.
start the list-

Jules,
I saw the pictures you sent to Bob. The ones of the midair collision and the jump circle that was used in the Rally in Germany. You should post those pictures on the forum. See you at Muncie.

Hi Juanf ,

The flying conditions in Heringen Germany where "SH*¨%.?WOEPS"
Rain and a lot of wind 25 miles ,some pilots added 1lbs of lead to ther jumpers to penetrade de wind .
My jumper hd a gross weight 4 lbs .

Ok here they are , in fact there where two mid air collisions !

1é /Alfred Rachner colliding wiht unknown jumper
2é / Alfred Rachner colliding with Theo Veasen
3é / the new jumping circle , the system used in the USA was the base of the new target ,
everybody was sick of the endless discussions where there jumper had hit the target .
This way you make the spot to watch and pinpoint where the first contact with the target toke place very clear .

Marion and I will arrive in Muncie Thursday 9/11 have reservations at Holiday Inn Express.

Seeya all in Muncie .

Jules,
Great pictures, thanks for posting them. I take it that you measure from the jumpers first point of contact in the target area and not where he end up?

The measuring is from the point of first contact not where the jumper ends up.

They go for every centimeter ( 0.39370 inches ) , if you know that the difference of 1é and 2é place sometimes after 5 rounds is not more than 20 or 30 cm than you know
the competition is hard .[:@]

Hi Jules,

Pack up one of those and bring it with you, HA,HA.

Does the target in the pic use any electronic measuring or does it rely on spotters to record the point of impact?

Time is ticking, looking forward to it.

There is no electronic measuring on the target's carpet on a normal contests , however on the annual German Championship this year in Berlin ,
they have a electronic disk thats counting the first 50 centimeters of the target .

The target is made of a sort of carped used in awnings of caravans and camper's on campsite's .
Size of the target is 10 meter side to side , the lines are printed on and everything is waterproof .

Gary as far I know this is the one and only its a test example .I like it !

What time is concerning I am beginning to get a bit nerves, Muncie is coming closer and closer again .

Say whats the fuel price at this moment over there , its going like a jo jo , in Belgium we pay 8.50$ a Gallon [&:]

See ya all in Muncie !

Jules
