oh ok that does make sense since i want to race lol i'm still undecided on the brand i want to go with though.. i'm looking at mugen, losi and xray but if a new version of the xray comes out every year i don't really want to invest in that

I would not really know, to be honest.
But based on what I've heard:
The X-ray is a great kit. And, just because there is a new latest and greatest, doesn't mean your is worse. It's still a good kit.
The Mugen is also good, but tends to break A-arms.
I do know the Losi's develop slop quickly, weather that effects you or not doesn't matter. There are guys at the track that drive with like 2-3 degrees of slop and are still fast.
But, again, I've never driven/owned one, so I wouldn't know.

It's when the suspesion becomes "loose."
For example: with no slop, the camber angle (the top of the tire leaning either toward or away from the car) is 2*. if you have slop, the tire might "wobble" from 1-4* of camber.
When I grabbed on to his rear wheel (truggy) I could tilt the wheel in many directions.
Kind of hard to explain, hope this helps.

Yes, but the wheel is tight the suspension is what is loose. They say you just get used to it. Seems like it would be bad, but idk.

in rc ,"slop" is unavoidable in any car/truck/buggy you may drive. it comes with the teritory.
plastic wears and so does aluminum.
the only way that slop could be prevented is if they actually came out with a bearing based hinge points in the suspension.
