Default Break in procedure which one?!?

Ok so I finally made the plunge and bought a nitro powered buggy. I got a Redcat Racing Backdraft 3.5. Now I know most of you frown upon Redcats but I for the most part am happy with my purchase. I dont have alot of money to spend on a high end buggy at the moment. I just wanted one to get my hands dirty and learn the Nitro ins and outs. Now for my question. I have looked on youtube and search thru google on engine break in procedures. I was wondering which one would be the easiest and safest for a first timer of nitro. I have had electric RC cars for years both in kit form and RTR. So I know my way around RCs to a certain degree. This is my very first Nitro and I am a little scared about the break in procedure since I know if I dont do it right I could kill the engine and since I dont have the money to buy another one. So I'm asking you all what break in procedures do you use? I have seen on youtube a procedure that you just let the engine idle for 3 tanks then on the 4th you can tune it and run it like normal. I dont know about that one. It sounds easy but not sure how it would work. Anybody tried that method? Do you have any other methods that would be easy to do? Please help!! Thanks.

page 6-7 of this manual has the break in procdure and is what i recomend.

after you get more familiar with nitros you will learn other ways of break in but for now i would say stick with this.

Heat cycle method. You can find it in the engine section on this site. It'll give you the best reliability on your engine
