Back into RC
Hi all I'm new to forum but not to RC I was wanting to get back into 1/8 scale buggies after some time away, since 2001 I had Kyosho MP 7.5 witch I raced and loved but had to sell, now I'm wanting to get back into it. I was wanting to get some input on a car, radio, engine, and sevros. I know its a lot but just wanted to get sone different ideas for a setup. buget 1000.00 to 1300.00
I was looking a A RC8.2 with a Novarossi engine
To many choices now
Thanks

With that budget, if you want to get into organized racing, get a Mugen MBX7 and whatever good .21 offroad engine-combo they have at www.amainhobbies.com that floats your boat and fits your budget.. (Just look at amain to get an idea about engines anyway..) Then some decent Hitec or Savox servos, a starterbox and radio, and a few sets of tires, and off you go..
The Mugen MBX7 is THE buggy to have right now in the racing world..
The RC8.2e is good, but if you look into it, there is a bit of a neverending mod culture to tame down the rear end.. Quality is good though. I just sold mine.. If I were going to get a new high-end race buggy, no question - the Mugen would be the best bet. They also just hold their value better..
