Brand New 2006 Hyper 8 Buggy with Z.28 Engine
I was told of a Hyper Buggy for sale real cheap at a local hobby shop. I was able to get there and take a look and I couldn't believe my eyes. I bought it immediately. It is a Hyper 8 Pro Racing Buggy Kit. I finally made up my mind on a nitro engine. I had a couple new Traxxas 2075 servo's laying around so I put those in the Hyper. The engine I decided on is a LRP Z.28 R Spec 3. I'm retty sure it's over kill but I wanted something to mess around with this summer when I get bored of my two Slayer Pro's. I can't wait for the weather to improve. Oh and on the box there is a seal that says 1991-2006, 15TH Anniversary. Story is a guy ordered this and when it got to the store the guy changed his mind. So on the shelf it went for 5 Years until I saw and couldn't pass up a Smokin' Deal! Thought I'd share my find with everyone. Thanks for looking, John.

Not a bad find at all. Just FYI, there are still loads of parts at ofnawarehouse.com for that car.

I forgot to put in the original post, I paid $200 for the Hyper 8 Kit. Sound like a Good Deal? I've got $169 in the Nitro engine. So for $369 I have a Nitro Buggy that has a retail value of about $970. Now That is a Smokin deal!

That thing looks SWEEEEET! Forget racing....make it happy and bash the hell out it! Nothing wrong with putting a quality engine on it....that thing will be a monster!
On a side note: I'm very curious as to the future of the Hobao Hyper series (specifically the Hyper 7). I'd love to stock up on parts, but parts won't break on that thing so don't know where to begin. ;-) I might buy some junked out roller of my TQ sport just for the parts.

I was worried about parts availability in the future too John, so I bought a roller off ebay.
