Default Ofna lx2e kit

Hello I am new to the RC Universe and have been reading up on some 1/8 scale buggys. I think I have narrowed it down to the OFNA LX2E and have been reading a lot of posts about it but I just need some advise about what components to put into it. I read about the http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-xerun-150a-sd.html ESC and this motor http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m801-4074-2000kv.html but am not sure that is the best combination for this car. I would like to have a 6S capable ESC and motor if and when I want to upgrade or get another car.

Also I need a starter radio and saw some posts about a http://www.hobbypartz.com/79p-gt3b-carradio-lcd.html. I am new into the hobby RC and have only owned a Duratrax Nitro Evader BX that was sitting in a storage unit for 5 years and when I went to start it the motor was shot. Anyways I thought getting back into it I would try to go electric because of the battery technology now. My budget is around $500 right now but would like to get the most out of that money so I can get a feel for the electric side of RC cars.

These were reccommended to me by a knowledgable hobbyist that runs this site (Foxy). I went with the RTR version for price deals, since I kept it stock.

Thanks for the advice that looks to be everything I need for this one what about batteries for this thing? I would like to start out with 4s and one day go to 5 or 6s but I need a couple to start out with. Also I need a good charger that wont break the bank either. Also I like to build things and was looking at some kits for 1/8 scale buggies, is there any out there that are cheaper than 500 just for the car because I really like to put things together and I think its a little lame that this car comes pre-assembled I like the challenge of the build.

most everything that comes as a kit is targeted at racers and as such cost more very lame imo but its how it is. now there are a few out there that are under 500 for just the car the rc8.2e comes to mind its 470 if i remember right. now about chargers id say aim high from the start lots of people myself included bought what i need at the time and ended up wanting faster charge times or when i moved onto lipos. 3 chargers later i now have one im very happy with but i spent alot of money getting there lol

this is a nice starter charger its 80watts will handle a 4s 5000mah at just under 1c and 6s even less http://www.hobbypartz.com/73p-ac680-accharger.html

now if you wanted to go all out and get a charger u would never have to worry about being underpowered id say look at one of these
http://www.progressiverc.com/the-sta...20w-combo.html

or this combo that will be the end all be all set lol

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HYPERION-EOS...item53fb4a241a + http://www.progressiverc.com/prc350-power-supply.html
now theres a ton of chargers and power supplys u can mix and match them these are just a few links

Thanks for the tips, so I think I want to go with a kit it just seems like more fun to me. I have been looking at the RC8.2E and like the things I have been seeing. What would you recommend as far as components? Would the ones I linked above work with this buggy as well or would you recommend going with a more powerful set-up?

this all depends on your budget from castle to hobbywing like anything mass produced there win be bad units no matter how much you spend id say 1k would get you a very nice setup

edit: yes the things above will work in the rc8.2e

Do you think it will be enough power for the buggy? Thanks for all of your help.

Thank you for all of the help, anyone else have any experience with the motor and esc combo? I would like to get some insight if this is a good motor for just a casual driver, I will not be racing at all at least not as of this time.

Also has anyone had any experience with http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m801-4074-2000kv.html and this http://http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e...n-150a-sd.html combination? I saw it posted a while ago for a OFNA LX2E and was wondering if it would work for this buggy. I know its a similar set-up in price but wondered if anyone had any experience with either.
