Please school me on the Thunder Tiger EB-4s
Hi guys I'm looking at what looks like an older buggy for my brother.
It is listed as an an EB4, but no details past that, i.e. : s2, s2.5.
The potential use is to bash around with a couple of hyper 7s, in loose dirt with small to no jumps.
A pic of the chassis:
and one of the body:
Obviously I'm not looking for a world beater . Parts seemed to be available enough for the s2 and s3 via ebay, but I'm not sure what this is?
What is it worth?
Is it durable and competent/capable?
Cheers

I would not buy this car and Ive seen this on on line for a long time. This is not an S2 because the chassis is not red and it doesnt have the ttr 21 bxr pull start engine. I bought an S2 a few years ago and the front end is junk and I spent a small fortune updating the suspension. I also built the TTR mirage pro back in the mid 90's and it would literally fall apart every time I ran it. There are not good instructions on line or available from TTR how to set it up. I hope I gave you some good up front info Michael

Cheers mate, thanks for the response. I've avoided that particular one as it looked wrong and something didn't seem right, ie: no spec description. My brother has ordered an s3 rolling chassis, so we have still gone with TT, but the investment in the chassis was not huge. Going to whack a worked hyper .21, and some ex-IMAC plane servos in it for ease of use.
Not demanding much from this combo, except fun.

Hi Mark
I wished had i never bought either TTR car that owned. I spent way to much money on both cars and in the long run some one wanted both cars so I sold them and ended up with Two Jammin X1 CRs and a Jammin X2 CR buggy and what a difference these cars are compared to the TTR S2 and the Mirage pro. Mind you neither car is still being produced but i have found some sources for parts that are pretty resonable. As far as the S3 goes I dont know anything about that particular model. I know that you can buy the RTR mode; with a TTR pro28 from Tower Hobbies in the US for about $ dollars US. Tower Hobbies parent company Hobbico/Greatplanes is the importer for the us. Good luck with your endeavor Michael
