Fioroni Turbo Sliding Clutch....can some one tell me if they've had any experience with this clutch. thanks all

RE: Clutches
ive been running a turbo slider for some time now and would recomend it to anyone for any type of racing. just watch it if you have a really short track as they wont last a long time, but personally i haven't seen any kind of clutch that will hold up to short track abuse. jumping down a tooth on the clutch bell will always help the shoes to last a longer period, but at the expense of top end speed. hope that helps ya.

RE: Clutches
Sliders are almost the best ones to have... On road. IMO the bite is just to much and the loss of traction at that point is annoying. Now there is nothing wrong with the 3 shoe setup but given the choice, It's Centax for me thanks.

RE: Clutches
i think grandma has gotten a little confused
the Centax clutch is exclusively an ON Road clutch!
you'd prbably be better off going for a conventional 3 shoe clutch like those supplied by Mugen etc
people who've used the sliding Fioroni Turbo clutch have said good things so it may be worth a look?

RE: Clutches
I may be getting old Adam but not senial. Centax clutches are great for off-road butlike I said I would have the stock 3 shoe over a slider. Sliders are good but I dont like the bite they have which tears the tires out of traction. I feel he centax is positive and has a controlable feel to it. Even Off Road. It's a choice thing which clutch you like the fell of is the one to use. For off road just dont use a vented bell with a centax.

RE: Clutches
i think thats "Senile"
the Fioroni sliding clutch is a different type of slider to the Centax!
the Centax has some flyweights that are forced out against an angled surface that pushes the shoes out away from the engine towards the clutchbell & engages drive.
but the Fioroni clutch has some friction material that is thrown out wards radially by centripetal force & contacting the conventional clutchbell from inside just like a regular clutch!
they are quite different in their methods of operation & the direction of their action!
the only pic i have of a Centax is a bitmap image & i can't post it[]
i'll see if i can find a picture of the Fioroni slider for you

RE: Clutches
couple of pictures for ya grandma
the top 2 are of the Fioroni Turbo slider, 1 showing the flywheel & the other showing the friction material & the springs.
the last pic is of a Centax cluch (more suited to On-road)
