Default Mugen mbx?

Hey,
I was wondering about a mugen mbx4, I know the parts are still avaliable so I'm looking to get one, the question is what's the good and bad about this buggy? Are there any parts I should stock up on besides suspension arms and carriers. I do plan on racing it, any comments would be helpfull.

i'd be tempted to go for something else!
you're always gonna get problems finding spares for a buggy thats no longer in prodution[]
the MBX4 from what i saw of them wasn't a particularly well handling buggy!
the times i saw them they didn't seem to have any steering & just pushed on in the corners[:'(]
you'd be better off going for a current model from any of the decent manufacturers
the Hyper range offers very good value for money

My advice is get a buggy that your LHS supports (lots of spare parts), no matter how
tough the buggy is, sooner or later it will break something.......

Exactly, buy a buggy that has lots of support at the LHS.

My LHS supports Ofna, mugen and kyosho, and I'm talking a heap-load of parts. They have no shortage of parts for and buggy's they sell, infact, they buy bulk and part them out so you can always get the part to finish the race. I just think that mugen is the better buggy of the rest. I would like to here some comments from someone that has owned or still owns one.

The Mbx5 is awsome, same level car as the Kyosho K car. If you are in to racing get either the Kyosho or Mugen. Ofna is a good buggy also, but it isn't quite as good as the other two. I bash Ofna's and race the Mugen and can say the Mugen is a better car. Don't waste your time with the Mbx4, get the 5. If money is a concern then get the Ofna as it is still a good car and is also capable of winning in the right hands.
