most buggies will be fairly well set up out of the box, you can sus it out over time.. see how it goes for a few weeks after you run it in

i got the hyper 7 rtr and it was just as good as the pbs and pcr. 2 guys at the track bragged them like they was better and i didnt see a diff. i put a spider in the center and scrapped the 8 port because it wouldnt stay running(and i can tune) over all it is a great bug and i didnt break anything either...

Went from talking about buggies to talking about engines
I've had 3 hyper engines, first one, a 4-port ran super hot 280 plus under that I couldn't get it to clear out, 2nd one 4-port runs great, it came with a Dominator and still running strong temps out around 240 with great power, 3rd 8-port, started out great, then went down hill fast, needle started leaking, the the compresion went away, then the case cracked. right now after putting a new case around it, isn't running great, Can't seam to get a tune to hold, might be the compression is just gone.
It seams from my experiance and that of others I've read here the Hyper motors are hit and mis, sometimes you'll get lucky and geat a good one, other times they're crap.
I don't think I'll roll the dice on another one, Just my opinion

RE: whats best ofna
I've been very pleased with my hyper 8 port...at first it was l little tricky when I was breaking her in but after break the break in she's been running great and I've got about 3 gallons in her so far. It's in a Hyper 7 Buggy RTR and I've been very impressed with the buggy itself. It's been my first buggy so far and has raced twice, first time kept up really well until a glowplug failure in the last lap, the second time I was in a hurry and didn't tighten up everything very well and the wheel came off during the race. As far as breakage goes, I've only broken very few things on it...the cvd shaft and a steering knuckle. I've had it since April and I do drive it pretty hard and during practice on the track I have had quite a few accidents.

don't get me wrong i do like tuning steering and suspension but what i meant by 'idiot factor' was i just want something that i can get out and not have to worry that it could perform better if i moved the shocks to one of the other 8,000,000 combinations that they can be set in or it would turn quicker if i put -4.35degree more camber and .78degree more tow-in on the rear and 1degree less on the front i just want something i can start and launch over huge jumps

Figure out which one you'll be able to get replacement parts for easier, that will be the best one for you
