Most durable buggy on the market??
If you talk to any Monster truck guy they will tell you the Savage is the most durable MT. Is there a buggy that holds that title? durability, low end torque, and good speed are the most important things to me. any ideas?
Thanks,
Sal

RE: Most durable buggy on the market??
the savage is hardly the most durable mt i have a sut pro and i was at a bash last weekend the savages spent hours working on them and got about 10minutes of run times on them they all went through 2spurs each except the one that had drive trin problems they are tanks but what the point of having a tank with no movement. the drive train is pathetic.
the hyper 7 and sp1 are probably the most durabile oh and the mbx-5 prospec.

I am not gonna lie- and months ago I would have begged to differ- but to date- the Kyosho 777 SP1 Has been the most durable buggy I have ever run. And I've tried them almost all of them- besides the TTR S3 and Mayhem.

the storms are a good buggy for racing but it sounds like you are going to bash and the storm isn't really the strongest of buggys by a long shot.

How about the Crono RS01? That buggy seems to be pretty durable. Problem is, parts aren't available as the other buggys out there...[][]

Price vs Durability, you can't beat the XTM X-Terminator with any car, 1/8 buggy or not the engine rocks (about the same as the Mach .26 in the LST, aside from mild port differences), comes with an ok steering servo, but a crappy radio.

RE: Most durable buggy on the market??
The most durable buggy by far is the Axis, but durable is all it is. It takes a 40 acre field to turn one in and it's so durable because it's built, and weighs, like a tank. It does however have good low end and decent top speed as long as you don't need to turn a corner with it. As a pure bashmobile, it's the hands down best bang for the buck, but please do not try to race one. You will be disappointed and your fellow racers will be angry for having to deal with what amounts to a rolling roadblock.

can someone compare (not "vs." just compare) the hyper 7, 777, and the ultra lx Comp for me?
Thanks.
Are buggies just as easy to work on as ST's?
Thanks.

I cast 1 more vote for the hotbodies lightning , I have the pro 1 version and absolutely beat the crap out of it . I have 2 of these buggies one I bash , the other I race . It holds it`s own in either case.

I'll second that coment about Savages. They are soft as ****. They are in no way the stronget MT. I have seen them fold from just a light cartwheel.
But now back to the main Q. IMHO the XB8 is a very strong buggy but it costs, but for less and if you can get hold of one the Hyper 7 Pro UK is Indestructable, possibly the strongest ride around atm. But if it's a tight budget and you aint gonna race try the Ofna Violator, a cheap budget buggy and very durable.

RE: Most durable buggy on the market??
my hot bodies lightning (accidently) went down a 40 ft ravine and only broke a hinge pin brace. even then, it was still drivable. i had the thing fixed in a day. it is a very good buggy.
