Great Deal On MBX5 Prospec!!
Man am i Happy, My girlfriends mom has friends that own a store. And i checked to see if the had a Mugen Mbx5 Prospec, They said the could get me one new for $390 [X(] shipped to me.!!$#*^ Just had to let it out. Man im soo happy. Now what can i get a new Nova P5 for!

I hate to sound like a skeptic, but these stores are probably buying the Prospec kit from Mugen Dist. for about $650 a kit, and thats why the price of the prospec isn't falling. You prob. got a quote on a reg.

dealer cost on a prospec is not 699 if most shops are selling them for that. the shop I go to sells them everydat pricing for 650.00
so I would be willing to believe that the cost pricing of 390 is believable. there is more profit in r/c product then most people will lead you to believe.
If every shop was selling cars at cost and relying on parts and hop ups to support them, there would be no-one in biz.

Yea but I bet that a significant price break doesn't appear till you order about 100+ units.
If your boy is for real selling Prospecs for $390 let me hit him up and get two for my self. I'll give him $450 a piece.

He sells them at $699 in his shop, but i am dating one of his good friends so he is giving me a break, now if $390 is cost i dont know. But my GF said that he is a super nice guy and would maybe even sale to me under his cost. So for that reason i dont want to ask for a truck load. I feel that would be wrong to take advantange of a nice guy giving me great deals and just resell.

That is an amazing deal! However, that "store cost" price is for the regular version with Horizon Hobby. The ProSpec is near the 400s. So he is giving you one heck of a discount. Honestly, what did you do to get that price? You must have done something! Did you fix his real car? Did you promise you won't be doing the hanky-panky with her since she is taken by him?
