Default GPMRacing.. anyone heard or used their products?

GPM racing make alloy/carbon fiber and Titanium hop-up parts for buggies etc.

Im just wondering if anyone has had any BAD experiences with their products.

They did not thread/tap an axle when I went to buy one online. The hobby shop said that the axle had to be sent back, I changed my mind after that. Other than that incedent, he said they were good.

Every manufacturer will have it's flaws, whether it's Chevy or Daimler/Chrysler. (Example - not bashing anoy company)

I bought an R40, ordered a clutch housing, and it was was missing its thrust bearing. It's an honest mistake, it will happen.

Asiatees.com carries LOTS of GPM stuff, they are exclusive and CHEAP. I don't know about the buggies, but their alloy stuff for the Savage is middle to bottom of the barrel. They are very cheap, so I guess you get what you give, but their stuff looks like garbage beside brands like Hardcore Racing, etc. I had a set of their arms for my Savage and like I said, they were 'ok'. I wouldn't buy them if I could do it over again. The only worse brand alloy parts that I have had were Integy.

all the GPM stuff i've seen has been low grade stuff that simply couldn't cut it in the rough & tumble world of 1/8 Offroad!
it looks like cheap grade cast alloy that is then machined to give it a "machined from Billet" look[:'(]

i'd stick to decent hopups that are actually hopups

just buy from a reputable company that will tell you exactly what materials they use & the processes they've been through to get the final product

Yes I think you're right, at least thats the feeling I am getting.
You see I live in Hong Kong, and I was at the office today to size up some braces and susp components and they seem to have allot of that "alloy anodized purple" junk laying around that just looks to be all show.
I have seen some of the billet components and yes they do come from a block, though I question the quality of the alloy and true value of bolting on a 5mm thicker brace to certain parts of a buggy.

Can you point me in the direction of a good hop-up manufacturer that makes parts for the Kyosho Inferno and Ofna Hyper?
There must be hundreds..

can't go wrong with those 3...

to see the difference in "anodised" parts then look at the parts for the EB4-S2 and the EB4-S3...

they are like they came from different companies...

I bought 2 sets (16 total) of GPM shocks for my T-Maxx... out of the first 8 that I opened 2 of the shock caps were stripped - I noticed that when I put them on my truck and the top popped off... The next 8 I put on my EK4... 6 of 8 were bad.... GPM stuff is garbage - don't waste your money on it. Might be okay on a micro that doesn't get used or something but if it is something I am going to run I will not buy it ever again.

And yes, Racer's Edge, Fironi and King Heads all make good stuff

Before and after, by adding capitalization, and punctuation only. I did not correct spelling, dialect, or content, because I don't want to alter the message. It's a little better anyway.

Hello, I would like to share my GPM experience and if I don't see any threads on titanium GPM shafts here soon I think I'm gonna start a thread myself. But anyway, I got a set of GPM titanium main shafts for my Savage with SH .28 engine, blew the rear in one tank. I think the pin is made of steel, but I'm not sure. That's what I was trying to find out. But that's my story. I like there streeing upgrade though. Had to mod it, couldn't get all the bearings in so I had to use 3. Works fine for backyard bashing.

EDIT: Just messing with you. I am probably the wierd one for being anal about grammar on an internet forum. At least you didn't use any AOL speak, like lol or something.
