RE: REX P5 vs. OS .21 v-spec
Got through two tanks so far and I was noticing that the head button was bubbling around the plug... the plug was defective and that was the one that came with the engine. It was actually driving around with the HSN needle at 3 turns out!!! The last one couldn't do that. I am going to get a few more plugs tomorrow and finish the break in. The turbo plug(P3) was warped...good thing the plug only costs like almost ten bucks a piece[:@]

I may have to get another head button because this one is still leaking fuel/oil around the plug...funny thing is that it doesn't do it with another plug...P6 and an old P3 that I tried. Just bought 3 of the P3's and one seems to be leaking also. That is an expensive defect...2 plugs at $8.49 apiece.

RE: REX P5 vs. OS .21 v-spec
Yeah man, p5's rock. They're like... the ultimate. I know because everyone told me so and I believe everything I hear. p5's are wicked awesome man. I like not having to make a decision on my own, that's why I'm a follower and choose the p5. p5's win "ALL" the races and everyone knows that novarossi is italian for super fast. They're reliable, they keep a tune, they last a long time and they don't cheat on you with your best friend. I just love my p5. So what if a brand new p5 might die on the track the first time you race it, it's still better than a v-spec. Everybody knows v-specs are slow and they ALL,, and I mean ALL die right after break in. I know because everybody told me so. I've never owned a v-spec so I can say all this stuff because I know what I'm talking about. I'm an rcuniverse God. Everything I read I just soak in and that makes me smarter than you. So smart that I know the p5 is the best there is and it will smoke anything out there. Heck, I even have a p5 in my 67 camaro. RE: REX P5 vs. OS .21 v-spec
Ive seen two P5's die, one never worked straight out the box, and the others main bearing failed. And out of the 7 v-specs at my track NONE have broken in any way and ive NEVER seen one flame out in a main. I think some guys just don't know what there doing.

I told the guy at the lhs that I would buy it and they couldn't buy the P5 from their distributor. I will probably get the P5 later on. The local track is rather small and tight and felt that the V-Spec was the better motor for that. It was a couple bad plugs and that is a quick fix.

Got the V-Spec broken in and it screams. I find it to be a good choice for my needs and it has great compression. It seems that the P5 is a great engine too, but the V-Spec is equally capable in the hands of any racer.

RE: REX P5 vs. OS .21 v-spec
Ordered the O.S. 2050 pipe for the V-Spec and put it back in the Prospec and the pipe let me down a bit. I only have about a little over half gallon, so it is not even fully broken in yet, so I guess that I am not getting a realistic view of the engine/pipe combo. The Jp-1 pipe is a little larger than the 2050 and I guess that is why it is more torquey on the Collari B7. That combo produces great midrange power. Will pull the Spec out again after another 3 or 4 tanks to keep from putting on too much mileage on the back-up. I have to try the WS7 that I got...not the WS7II, I heard great things about the WS7

RE: REX P5 vs. OS .21 v-spec
I just finished cleaning my Prospec.......I figured I'd join in and show her off before test and tune day at the track tomorrow. What do you think of the new body? That's a modded Max Power M5.....same family as the P5 but a totally different animal.
