RE: Team Losi 8ight preview
that definitely looks like a Losi shocktower. Looks like the ones on everything from the XXX buggy to the LST
Anybody else ever notice how all their shock towers look the same? Not trash talking Losi...I own 3...but they've definitely got a corporate look, lol

I think the body looks aggressive. Besides having the cockpit so far forward might give you more steering at high speeds because of downforce.

It's not ugly.. you just have bad taste. Or maybe I do, because I like it.

Just saw the new pix on Losi's web site and I have to say.....WOW! That thing is UGLY! Losi's body shop guys are really asleep at the wheel...I love my XXXT MF2 but the body is ugly as homemade sin! I see a trend developing here...

Has anyone seen or heard of a farily reliable release date? Amainhobbies says, "This product will be in stock on Monday 31 July, 2006." But I hope that is over-dated so that people won't keep bugging them if nothing shows up on the real proposed "in-stock" date.

8IGHT Debut WIN!
RC Pro Series East Division Round 1
Hosted by The Farm II
April 28-29
Team Losi drivers Adam Drake and Travis Amezcua attended the Eastern RC Pro Series Round 1 at The Farm II for the debut race of the Team Losi 8ight. The pre production version of the Team Losi 8ight showed awesome speed by taking Top Qualifying honors with Travis Amezcua as the pilot. In the first round of qualifying Travis took the TQ position for the round by 20 seconds. He later went on to TQ rounds 2, 3, and 4. Right behind Travis was 2nd Qualifier Adam Drake also piloting a pre production Team Losi 8ight. At the end of the 45 minute A-Main event it was Adam Drake taking the overall win with his Team Losi 8ight by nearly an entire lap

8ight puts another notch in its belt. Drake TQ'ed all four rounds of RC Pro Series West Round 1, and won the race by TWO LAPS.

Since Losi does not have any chassis pictures on their site yet. Has anyone got a few good parts picts. I really would like to see the nuts and bolts of this thing before investing. A review, anything?

RC Car Action had a "sneak peek" in the issue with the t-max on the cover...I also noticed they mentioned that "production shock towers will be 7075 aluminum" *3* times in a 2-page article that was mostly pictures!

i don't really like it too much. Just ain't what I like to look at. I've got nothing against Losi, but I just don't like how they've set it out.

It is natural for people not to like it , especially at first . Nobody likes changes and the 8ight is definetly different . Eventually someone is going to take the next step into making a bug that is designed "ugly" . It is about time there will be a bug that is different and hopefully and sounds like it will be a good one . The only thing I`m not liking is the price , $600 . That is a good chunk of change for just a roller .

RE: Team Losi 8ight preview
well for tht money that thing better be able to take a beating. Near the same price as a Kyosho so hopefully it ca take the same beating. I am really anxious to see it run. It is either goona be amazing or a piece of crap. With their design it doesn't look like it is going to perform like most buggies. Also I think that the promo win had a lot to do with Adam Drake driving it.
