Boy thats an old post! Anyway this is one of the most underated engines out there. It is reliable, powerful and really shines with the easy to do sleeve modifications. Its an excellent engine, and cheap! Good luck

Woah, havenb't seen this thread in a while.


I should update my impressions.

I finally managed to blow up the engine. . Since I last posted I have modded it severely, run it on 30%, and beat the crapo out of it. After many gallons of abuse the bearing couldn't take it anymore and disintegrated. The engine turned to scrap. The only reusable parts left are the carb, backplates and screws.

I can not recommend this engine enough. It's tough and runs great.

I think a JP-3 will be a good fit. I ran a JP-2 and it worked good.

i had this engine and after 4 gallons at 270 degreese it let go i ran it wit the jp2 and it was insanely fast for the money. i plan on picking up another one to run on really dusty days so i dont ruin my novarossi

Man, I did the Mods in this article to that engine, and it was a beast. It is free extra horsepower and easy to do. Do this and add a good pipe, and you have a great motor. Check it out!

SMan which o-ring did you recommend replacing the high-speed needle o-ring with? I think it was an OS part # that I read on the corr forum awhile back but that linky no worky anymore...thanks!
