RE: Hotbodies lightning buggy
No, what are you thinking? Everyone wants OFNA.... even though Hot Bodies is such a better brand. I have the lightning 2rr. It is awesome. I have never seen a buggy that was this well built and designed. It is one piece of work, it will take a beating and come back for more.... I also have a Kyosho Mp777 7.5 sport. It isnt as well built it seems more cheaply made to me. It was only 50$ cheaper than the Hot Bodies. Hobby shops dont really carry their parts because more of them only like traxxas and you know why, because traxxas makes there cars to break.

i just got a lighting traded my traxxas 4 tec for it lol, i love it is my first 8th scale, when i got it it was pretty sad, really dirty and nasty and needed some stuff but, it looks great now i put grp rims, blue ofna x = tires and a duratrax wing on it. i have a new body too but its yet to be painted. we really need an offical thread and if theyve made one since this let me know. heres some before and after pics, i bought the 4 tec from a friend for $50 and traded it straight across

RE: Hotbodies lightning buggy
I just got a really nice HB LP2 as a Christmas gift. It has a brand new engine in it (stock), so I haven't even had a chance to run it yet. I'm posting to find out if anyone has a good source of parts for the LP2 buggy? I'd like to know I can get parts and a couple of other shells.
Anybody got any good sources of parts in the US for this buggy?

If you want top end the vg 30 is not the one to get. The 21's put out more rpm's. The 30 are for lugging around heavier trucks. Bang for the buck there are many fast cheap 21's. The Go engine is getting great reviews from racefactor. A-main sells them as well as other hobby stores. Even the 21 vg would be a better engine,Tower hobby has them for 149.99 add a5.99 glow plug to the order and you get a 30.00 discount so for 125.00 you a good engine an extra glow plug. You will need a starter box unless you ge the pull start for a few more bucks.
I am not sure where to get parts fot the hotbodies but many of the kyosho parts fit becaus it is a direct knock off the mp777.
