in the process of dropping in Os into my losi 8ight

I just purchased on OS vspec EB MODS from Tower, it is my first vspec I have owned few OS 18 tms, picco .26 max, and a ninja, the question I have is the LSN needle in the carb does retract when I open the carb? I have never seen this before is this normal?

also the engine came set up for 30% nitro I removed one shim to run 20% is this right? and will it perform ok with 20%

It should work fine for you, but if i were you i would run 30% in that eninge. The engine will run much better on it, and there is no point spending that much on an engine if your not going to bring it's full potential out.

Run 30%! Its only a few dollars more, and so worth it. Bring that monster to life.

Unless your sitting on a bunch of 20% now.

thanks guys i did not realize it was a 3 needle carb, i am going to run 20% for now since that's what i have and i run all my other trucks on 20% but i have time to think about it , it is cold here in nj, so i probably wont break in until march i want it to be at least in the high 50's
