Don't forget to check the diffs. Those buggies have grease filled diffs and at high rpm the grease gets flung to the outside of the case which can make them feel inconsistant. change to silicone fluid as soon as possible. The other reason I say to check them is to make sure the grease actually made it into the diff case at all.

I look into buying buggies a little deeper than you. The Xterm 2 and Raze are good cheap starter buggies, but you start pushing them hard and they'll just fall to pieces.

Ive got one of those. With a couple of mods they are VERY competitive buggies...BEST buggy out there for the price....
heads up.. the wings the first to go.and if you want to get serious with that buggy, best to get this forum:

This forum can be very... "un-helpful" at times...

I can't say one way or the other but almost anything has to be better than Duratrax.

Thats a pretty bleak opinion, if you start pushing any brand buggy they will start falling to pieces, doesn't matter who made it. it all comes down to preventative maintenance and your particular driving style.

Yes,just like a cheap Hong Nor as distributed by OFNA, but not like a Hyper 7/8 or Jammin as distributed by OFNA (now don't come to the battlefield with just your wit, it's not sharp enough).

You would know. "they just fall to pieces"? Have you ever driven one? Owned one? Seen one? How about not bashing brands that you don't know of.

The XT2 is one of the best for the price, at $259.99 at HP its hard to beat.
