Hyper 8 Pro kit. I have beat the heck out of mine and the only thing in about 3 gallons I have broken is the wing and one radio box top. I wish I had a dollar for every time I have nose landed from 7 or 8 feet off a jump or on the lid with out any more damage. I race and this is one tough buggy and has never let me down.

Hyper 8's are unbreakable, I'm a bad driver and have massive stacks but I have never bent or broken a thing on mine.

Between the 2 listed, the matrix is made for racing, vs. the XTM XT2 was designed for bashing, hell it even says that on the ad.

Basically, it all depends on what you will be doing with it.

i own a xt2 and im a bet desapointed on it. first of i had the buggy seens feb 15 and already had to replace the one way barring. but not before i had to replace one of my servos. and yes this is not my first car i own a ntc3 plus for about 1 year now and had yet to replace any parts for it. none the less how the xt2 is design is cool hard to break on a impact. not that i have crashed it lol. but there was someone how told me that i should replace the servo right oway. he didnt tell me as to way lol. i found out the hard way

XTM XT2 great basher, you can tune it for racing but overall a $259 buggy won't beat a $600 plus buggy, but with proper tuning and driving skills it will hold it's own and yeah it's bulletproof, kyosho blue springs, 40wt shock oil, 8000 diff oil f, 5000 c, 3000 r and mount the front shocks one hole out on the shock tower and you'll be pleasantly surprised, it's a nicely balanced car that is easy to land on a four tires evenly
