Anyone own a Raze?
I just ordered a Duratrax Raze from my hobby shop. I now have a Warhead Evo and a nitro Evader ST. I have a few questions to ask anyone who owns a Raze. How fast does the stock buggy go, I am figuring about 40-45mph? What problems should I watch out for and what hop ups shoud I get first?
Thanks in advance

But my Warhead Evo has the same engine in it and it goes about 37mph and the Raze is alot lighter the the Warhead.Or would that make it excelorate faster?

RE: Anyone own a Raze?
the 3 razes I bought for my kids only needed a good quality steering servo.... I would also remove the black diff grease and use silicone 3k/5k/1k front to rear.

The stock steering servo stinks...an upgrade is a must have. And I'd say top speed is about 40...remember it's not built for speed. It's built for power needed to handle racing and offroad tracks but still with decent speed.

i have a question: why is the raze so cheap(price wise)? is it becuz its not as good or is it justa great deal? and what are other average prices for buggys? i guess that was multiple questions..but whatever...hey flyingace451, your quote is awsome! -"As I lay in bed at night I look up at the stars and think to myself, "Where the heck is the ceiling!?" i've heard that one before on a riddle website

The price is low because they haven't won nay big races yet with big racers. People spend more for a winner, ie kyosho. The kyosho kit is probably $600+ w/o engine and radio, raze is an rtr for less than half.

The raze is an awesome buggy. Great bottom end. It's got everything you need on a track. Very good git up and go.

lmao its not that they havnt won any races. its that the buggy is poorly made. it has cheaper plastic, gears, metal and all thats stuff. it also a way less quality then kyosho, xray, mugen ext.

I haven't owned one of the high end buggies or truggies yet, still working towards that, but the raze is excellent on the track. I can keep up with the high end buggies on practice days except for my driving ability. Just gotta work out my differntial issue out and get'er runnin' again.

RE: Anyone own a Raze?
To anwser my own question, I do! On Friday a got it and i love it. It is so fast. I figure it will go about 45mph. I have had a few problems with wet servos but it is my own fault for driving it in VERY wet grass. I dont see whats so bad about the steering servo, mine works great.
My rigs: Warhead Evo, Nitro Evader ST, Evader ST and a Raze
