Did you use a heat gun before you try to start it? It will be nearly impossible to turn it over unless you heat it up with a heat gun or at least a hair dryer........ I found this out the hard way and burnt up a starter box wheel. You'll be happy it has that much pinch in the long run......

I do like mine but have had a few issues with it. I had to send the carb back to be repaired and seem to have a few tuning issues. It seems to run a little hot ATM but i hpoe to sort this out on thur down my track, Other wise i love it! Loads of top and bottom and has helped me win 2 out of 4 races (the other 2 i cam second!) so im pleased with it.
46U - i was getting about 6/ 6 1/2 mins run time running hard.

Actually it might be longer than that... but not much. we were running 5 min heats and some races i would have about 1/5 of a tank left and others very little left, however other racers were running out just after the 5 min horn!
No i have not checked for air leaks! Stupid i know but as it was a new engine it didn't occur to me that it might have one! Very NOOOOB mistake to make i know, so i am aiming to strip her down and then re-build and seal it and see if that helps any.

I seal all my engines when new just to be sure. I have a STS D21B and I get 10 plus minutes out of it and have gone as much as a little over 12 depending on the track. I wish you luck as I have read that the B3 is a good engine.

RE: werks .21 B3
yeah, i heated it up with a heat gun. it'll then turn over a few times, then get stuck again. im about ready to give up on this engine and just stick to my monster truck. after spending two hours trying to get this freakin B3 to start, and i've been trying to start it since friday evening. i just found out i had it on the starter box the wrong way, which meant my buggy would have went in reverse when it did start. so today i got the box set up right, and the engine STILL DOES NOT start. its getting more aggravating by the day.

hmm, ok, here is your last hope, first off dont give up =]]
ok, replace all fuel lines, put a new glow plug in, charge your glow ignitor, charge your starter box, use fresh fuel, seal your engine, check needle settings.
then when your trying to start it, loosen your glow plug about 1/8-1/4th of a turn, heat your engine up to about 200 degrees, put her on the starter box, open the carb up and place just a small drop of fuel down into the carb, turn your electronics on, push down on that starter box, and pray. if you ahve to try blipping the throttle too. idk if that helps.
... anyone have anything to add/correct?!

the fuel lines are pretty fresh, this the first time i'm ever using my buggy. i tried loosening the glow plug a little, and using a new plug. but i didn't try puttin a little fuel down the carb,i'll try that tomorrow. i've got two weeks race season starts at this one track, if i dont have it done by the middle of next week i'll just be racing monster truck.

RE: werks .21 B3
tgreg, the area 51 motor was a joke i made up in the mgt forum. two guys were arguing over how good the sts .30 was, and the guy that started it wouldn't give a review on the .30. so i made a joke saying the sts .30 was pretty weak, and that i had made a new engine that i had been testing for quite some time, and i called it the area 51. ask around in the mgt forum about it, they might remember the pages i posted it on. it was pretty funny. the engine in my mgt is a dynamite Mach .28.

That does not seem very good on the fuel economy but if you are having problems could account for the poor fuel economy.
Have you tried sealing the engine?

Ok, I found my problem, the Exhaust gascet had crumbled and gone! NEw one in and running about 8-9 mins and a lot cooler, had to richen her up a little now.
