i know the ofna is better, but i have a 20 $ off coupon, so i could get this and battery for like 40 bucks

you would be better off with a ofna chrome top and a full size gel cell intsead of a mini gel cell. and that coupon should work and the ofna box aswell.

im just trying not to spend alot of money. i m just gonna buy an sts .28 with a pull start, i got a good deal on one one ebay. just waiting for a bid to go through. thanks though

duratrax boxes are junk. The only "good" boxes out there are from Ofna. Chrome top is the way to go.

That box is never going to start a big block sts.

Yeah I thought maybe you had a small .12 engine. I own a Ofna chrome top 12volt motor with gel cell. You may save money at first buying the Duratrax but you will end up getting something better real quick. My chrome top turns over my XTM 457 and my OS VZ-B vspec with no problem. Once you use a good starter box you will never go back to pull start or rotostarts.

STS engines have a really tight pinch, that box with twin 550's will not start them.

Once you use a good starter box you will never go back to pull start or rotostarts.
you can't be more right then that.
