When i get a motor i get my dremel and shave the top of the head getting rid of the paint and label....and it weighs a tiny bit less.....this helps you also at big races cuz ppl cant tell what motor your runnnin... But u kno what im runnnin now cuz i put it in my sig...but if i were an outta towner at some race....sum 1 couldnt tell unless they really examine the car and motor....[:-]

yes, i use zip ties on all my ground vehicles. some engines are several years old and in not to bad of shape. i know if i didn't have the zip ties, they would be messed up. so zip ties do work

They help but by no means 100% affective. The ties all so get ripped of a lot when you roll and hard to stop the race to replace them. LOL But if they make your feel better run them.
